Service Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
Onsite furniture repair technician with the ability to utilize tools for various furniture repairs. Knowledge of office furniture and accessories is key. Being respectful and courteous with clients while on service call site is a must. Be able to lift 50lbs or more for job function. Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check and work in a non-smoking environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Clean and repair office furniture.
- Complete service paperwork and forward on all warranty paperwork.
- Inspect all products prior to loading on truck.
- Drive in a safe and courteous manner.
- Greet clients politely and pleasantly.
- Place and install product professionally.
- Work to achieve customer satisfaction on all job sites.
- Self-starter with a good attitude that will see the job to completion.
- Punctuality
MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to hold positive conversation with clients.
- Have safety on the mind at all times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Seeing, hearing, clear speech.
- Lifting, moving and loading office furniture. Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help in warehouse with truck deliveries
- Help in showroom with misc. tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Likes working with tools and getting hands dirty
- Self-starter
- Ability to be travel (daily travel only)
- Past furniture repair experience desired
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of moving equipment and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of office furniture and systems furniture.
- Math competency to be able to calculate labor and other expenses for orders.
- Computer knowledge of Outlook and other Microsoft software
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED
