Project Coordinator/Estimator
CIC is growing! We are seeking a full-time Project Coordinator/Estimator for our Architectural Products division.
Established in 1981, CIC (Commercial Installation & Construction Company) is a division of Scott Rice Office Works located in Lenexa, KS. CIC is a certified dealer and installer for MechoShades and Steelcase Privacy Walls, as well as an installer for other architectural products including 3form, artwork, signage, shelving, furniture and wall protection. In addition, CIC provides interior construcion services mainly in divisions 8, 9 and 10. All of our work is self performed. We are a steadily growing group and this position provides great potential for growth and leadership!
Required Skills:
1. +/- 5 years experience
2. Degree or experience in estimating, construction management, or design/architectural background
3. Team oriented and challenge driven
4. Experience with understanding construction documents (drawings and specifications) and the bidding/construction process
5. Ability to be technically proficient with computer programs
6. Ability to be flexible with multiple types of job tasks and working in a fast paced, yet fun environment
7. Needs to be detail oriented and have a problem solving approach
8. Written and verbal skills needed for coordination with clients, architecture/design firms, general contractors and installers
Tasks will include:
1. Assist with estimating on bid and non-bid projects
2. Researching/reviewing projects from bidding web sites for architectural products that CIC provides/installs
3. Assist with coordination of scheduling quote due dates, ordering and shipping of products, and install dates with installers/owner/general contractor
4. Assist with on-site coordination for reviewing existing site conditions and during installation
5. Attend job site coordination meetings
