Position Overview:

The Director of Sales position will be responsible for the overall management of Scott Rice's growth initiatives and business development strategies. This position will be required to manage and mentor new talented sales professionals, leading and directing them to execute successfully against the company's strategic plan.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the leadership team that sets the company's strategic direction.
  • Spearheads business development initiatives that are consistent with the company's overall strategy.
  • Manages multiple business initiatives that directly impact the growth of Scott Rice's revenue and net profit (Furniture); while also promoting and marketing all products and services to the marketplace; as evidence by sales volume
  • Develops high level relationships with potential clients and client influencers (A&D firms, Corporate Real Estate, Executives, etc.)
  • Mentors and coaches sales team members on lead generation, selling skills, and presentations.
  • Achieves revenue and net profit growth goals.
  • Builds and manages a sustainable sales and business development team that will contribute to top and bottom-line growth
  • Be the driving influence in the development of the work ethic, culture, and values of the team

Accountabilities and Performance Measures:

  • Achieves or exceeds defined sales goals.
  • Achieves or exceeds defined expectations for profitability.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process for sales representatives.
  • Leads and implements sales plans to grow business within targeted accounts.
  • Encourages and enforces the use of CRM tool - all project opportunities and journal notes are to be input into CRM on a regular basis.
  • Assists in the development of annual sales plan.
  • Promotes and markets, with BD team members, all products and services offered by Scott Rice and leverages Scott Rice value proposition.
  • Conducts and oversees performance reviews for sales team members.
  • Assist in the identification of new products and services.
  • Lead quarterly reviews with sales team. Tracking of New opportunities / Forecasts / Roadblocks identified and Bridges implemented that bypass obstacles in sales process / Professional Development (ie: Product Knowledge and Strategic Selling) / Coaching & Support

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership and management experience
  • Previous dealership business development, marketing, and sales experience (furniture industry) highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel as needed
