Designer- Healthcare
Scott Rice Office Works is a unique family of interdependent companies specializing in creating commercial, healthcare, government and education environments. As part of a team of collaborative professionals, the Healthcare Designer will collaborate with the team comprised of sales, project management and design focused the region healthcare systems. The Healthcare Designer must maintain a positive attitude, be results-driven and creatively solve problems. Daily activities include client meetings, site visits, programming, space planning, product application, specification, and installation drawings.
Required Skills:
- Professional, flexible, adaptable and willing to learn
- Organized, consistent and detail-oriented
- Able to self-prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent time-management skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to co-design with clients and team members
- Strong process-driven and problem-solving skills
- Work quickly and effectively through concept explorations in order to illustrate solutions to a design problem
- High level of empathy and have a proven ability to research design problems and express design direction in clear, compelling frameworks
- Able to balance technical and creative problem solving
- Define, own and clearly communicate project scope
- Work with a cross-functional project team, including coordination with vendors and trades
- Accept feedback with a positive attitude
- Strong portfolio of work
- Constantly feeding intellectual and visual curiosities
Required Experience
- Four-year college degree (Interior Design / Interior Architecture)
- Proficient in PC-based programs
- Microsoft Office, Outlook, AutoCAD (required)
- CET, Revit, SketchUp, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Bluebeam (optimal, but not required)
- Experience with a furniture dealership or architecture firm (optimal, but not required)
- NCICQ, LEED or EDAC (optimal, but not required)
- Ability to travel as needed
