Overview

The Account Executive role develops new business relationships with clients using a solutions-based and consultative selling approach. The AE grows sales and market share through prospecting, referrals, networking and cold calling. The AE reports directly to the Director of Sales and is chiefly responsible for promoting products and services to ensure client satisfaction from execution of sale through project completion, consistently messaging and communicating the Scott Rice Integrated company brand.

Scott Rice is looking for the following traits in an Account Executive:

  • Prior experience interfacing with clients, vendors and internal departments, working with minimum supervision and/or direction; General understanding of business practices, structures and philosophies;
  • Ability to apply logical reasoning, creative problem solving and sound business judgment
  • Knowledge of manufacturer's product and application, proven sales ability and general understanding of business practices; Pricing and discounting experience a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, strategize and qualify new business opportunities through relationship building, cold & warm calling, networking and leveraging referrals; Develop a deep knowledge of market trends, product and service offerings and apply that knowledge to the Scott Rice Sales process
  • Manage existing accounts to ensure client satisfaction and on-going business relationships; Maintain close contact with key influencers within existing accounts
  • Maintain awareness of key industry events and networking opportunities; Actively participate in these activities on a regular basis to develop partnerships and promote Scott Rice products and service offerings
  • Qualify need, budget and time constraints; Provide outstanding service and value through collaborative problem-solving and timely response to client requests
  • Partner with Leadership to create experiences/solutions that differentiate Scott Rice from competitors
  • Work closely with internal Design team to strategically develop specific product and service solutions that satisfy the client while supporting the interest of Scott Rice
  • Partner with a team comprised of members of the Sales Support, Design, Project Management and Operations divisions to successfully manage projects from inception to completion; Manage project pipeline and work with internal teams to insure timely completion of deliverables
  • Actively work to position and promote Scott Rice's Integrated capabilities (SR Collective); Partner with members of the SR Collective teams in co-selling scenarios

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or 1-2 years' related sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully present products and services
  • Fluent PC skills, including the Microsoft office suite, and Salesforce, Xactly (or similar) CRM systems
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills with a passion to provide solutions to client needs
  • You can expect to: sit or stand for extended periods, operate computers, and other ancillary office equipment
  • You like communicating with others through face-to-face interaction and phone calls and enjoy working in an office environment with moderate noise
  • Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching (dexterity), driver's license
  • Complex reading and writing skills, basic math skills, judgment/decision making, analysis/comprehension
